I tried this and ran into nothing but problems. I installed it, and then the admin panel was blank. I went to the support forums and search for "themes" hoping to find a source for free themes. That found 4 matches, nothing which was about free ones. I then was going to post my question about the admin section, but decided I should search first. It brought up the same 4. Then I searched for "boobies" just to see what would happen, and again the same 4.
I thought I should register and post about my problem with the admin section and the results from the search. After I got the confirmation email, I clicked the link. It said invalid confirmation key. I decided to then just post as a guest. I seen "guest" posts. It said I had access to reply, but not to post new topics. I replied with my findings and got an error, unauthorized to post. I could not find a way to post on their forum, the community support forum. I can't get it to work, so I decided to go with something else.
It does look promising, but I plan on waiting for a stable release.
yes, i know there were some errors in the previous releases but the current beta one is good to go. The only problem is they are still working on the user management sytem on the admin panel but the rest of the forum works.
*note* this is only one guys work mainly
I tried it about a week ago. Has then been a new release since then? I ended up going to myBB, which has a stable release. I wouldn't mind checking out k4BB, but if there is only one guy working on it, it may take a while. Plus, with all the mods and themes available for other forum scripts, I don't really see the plus side in going with K4BB.
After you log in, it says: you are already logged in. Imagine the horror of a person who doesn't know how to alter index.php?act=login back to index.php!!!
If the cover was ripped off and the first page was 179, you probably wouldn't pick that book to read.....the forum script has errors. The main demo on their site doesn't work, so you know it won't work on your site. There's no reason to download it now, unless you want to be a beta tester for them.
That's the one I have been talking about. Try searching for two different things. You will see that the results for the first thing show up for every search after that. They aren't accurate. When I tried to sign up there to report the bug, I ran into even more problems....Are you affiliated with them in any way?
