Knarf,

Some of the prices on Great Domains are ridiculous, but $25,000 for Programs.TV does not seem to me to be so outrageous.

Hopefully you will get lucky soon....

The verbage at the end is new to me...I read from my email from them, that if the reserve price was met I was bound by it.....I will do some checking..

Also, let me ask you this....does not getting one offer on thirty names leave you disheartened?? Does it stop you from investing any further on names that you won't develop...??

Or are you looking at this long term - and what is long term with .tv??

QUOTE=knarfmusik]You have to be realistic. I don't think anyone (IMHO), could honestly believe they would ever receive the listed price for their domain. It would have to be an extremely excellent domain name to do that. The reserve price is much more realistic.

I really think you are worrying about something you don't need to. I have had at least 25, maybe 30 domains listed on GreatDomains. I HAVE NEVER SOLD ONE. I HAVE NEVER EVEN RECEIVED AN OFFER ON ONE.

I currently have 8 names listed, from $5,000 to $25,000 (Programs.tv). I would be estatic to receive an offer for the reserve amount, and wouldn't hesitate one second to accept.

Besides, I don't think you have to accept the reserve price, read this from GD:

What is the minimum offer?
The seller has determined a minimum price that they would be willing to sell the domain name registration for. This reserve price varies by seller. Use your best judgment in deciding a offer price when you submit your offer. Remember that the offer is only the first step in the negotiation process. GreatDomains will work with the seller and buyer to ensure the final price is fair for both parties.

Of course, IMHO.

I think if I gave up Programs.tv ($500 annual, Program.tv $7,500 per year!!) I would wind up regretting it for sure. If anything, I think I might just break down sometime in the next year, and develop Programs.tv .
I had given up on GreatDomains, but recently have had 5 names accepted, incuding www.Glad.tv, listing for $5,000. This is one that I hope, because of the lower price, may sell. Mayve this will be the "first one".
Maybe of the other names I had on GreatDomains I let expire, because I had regged them at .tv for $50. Many are still listed.
I definately haven't given up on .tv's, even though the majority of domains I own now are .in's & .co.in's. .Tv's for some reason just seem like they will become very popular soon. Maybe it because on "tv" you see more and more programs , stations, networks, and others using the .tv extension along with their .com.
