looks sweet so far, question do you do the entire page as an image and then slice it and use as bg images?? just curious

DarkDevil 02-11-2003 11:31 AM

its looks by far the best i've seen this far into the creation process so far.

hank you for all the positive feed back.

As it comes to your Quastion mindsetdesigns, I allways make my marck-ups in fireworks, and when the client has aproved the design I will start slicing and export the images, for building it in dreamweaver.

So what you see her is just my presentation to the client.

Yeh looks awesome!

I like your idea of creating a presentation image for the client and then slicing it up. Is that idea original? :p

DarkDevil 02-22-2003 02:15 PM

I wouldn't call it original, but i'd say he probibly thought of it himself. Many people do it, but they don't rip the idea from anyone, or are told to. I do it myself.

maxmedia 02-22-2003 05:23 PM

I dont know who came up whit the Idear to do it like that first, but as I see it thats just my way of presenting the work to a client.

the benefits for doing it this way

1. you can sell you design for a better price (if people see somthing the like then the price becomes secondery) this ofcourse if you havenīt given them a set price

2. the time issue dont you hade when youmade a site and the client desids to make the logo bigger og change the meny system, this way you go over all aspects before slicing and coding

3. the seem to trust you more if the like your work, so you will have more say so about what will work for them.

just would like to say this is a great board and I like the tone of woice around here.

If anyone like my work and need some help feel free to ask I will do my best:D to help

Ole

i have a question for you. When you pop open photoshop, or your prefered program, what do you set the pixels per inch at? I believe default is 72, but your graphics look really fine for some reason. Higher Pixel for inch setting?

maxmedia 02-23-2003 11:46 AM

I use fireworks and itīs set to 72 px/inch

DarkDevil 02-23-2003 06:49 PM

hmm... any tips? it looks crazy good.
