NP Acronyms & What They Stand For When I came here, there have been a lot of acronyms that I didn’t know or understand. It took me a while to figure some of them out. So I compiled a list for future reference to those who may have the same problem. OVT is commonly abbreviated. It is referring to the Keyword Selector tool at Overture http://inventory.overture.com/d/sea...ory/suggestion/ OVT = Overture, or the number of searches made for a term or domain in a month. OVT w/ EXT = Overture with Extension: the number of searches made for the full domain name including extension. For instance, example.com has a OVT w/ EXT of 7163. OVT w/o EXT = Overture without Extension: the Overture number for the term contained within the domain, but without the extension. For instance, example.com OVT w/o EXT is 62344 (just check resutls for 'example') |

PTS = The Private-To-Staff forum on NamePros where you can post a private thread to the NamePros staff. IE: Mark requested that I post details of the transaction in PTS. Staff uses this acronym a lot. |
