Basic traffic steps:
1) Add to proxy.org
2) Submit BY HAND to all the proxy topsites, and any link directories.
3) Do some SEO work to your site, add a paragraph somewhere that contains a lot of proxy-like keywords, but make sure it makes sense
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/marketing-techniques/208245-promoting-a-proxy.html
4) Add link to MSN search (search.msn.com)
5) Start up a proxy topsite, get people to add their sites to it, ensure your site stays at the top and you'll get some hits from there too
6) Link swap with only proxy related sites.
7) Wait around 3 months, and your traffic will be huge .
8) Ensure that your server is powerful enough to handle the proxys traffic, if its not, you WILL start to lose traffic.
9) Install my bandwidth saver, which prevents people from hotlinking, this serves no other purpose than taking up all your bandwidth: http://www.namepros.com/free-resourc...ml#post1171372
10) Get an original design, people DO care about the designs simplicity.

That's what I'd do . I own the domain proxywebsite.com which after around 1 month was getting ~ 50,000 uniques per month . Had to take it down though, couldnt handle it. Hope to kick it up again once I get a new server.

Hope it helps,
Rhett.
