Grateful for ALL your reactions (posts, pms and emails as well) re Gun.tv. It seems that in a few hours the name has got more popularity than in two years time ! I know that .tv names is a patient investment, I started 3 years ago and I will assume my .tv portfolio over the coming years, Gun.tv and a few others being part of the 10% for which I have a doubt, wrong investment ? I do not know but I reg them 'cause I like the name, it is catchy, works well in the look and feel of its extension, then one can easily imagine a dynamic, multimedia demo content site about guns, weapons, armament. It could also be used for any provocative trendy PR site and... and yes I agree with Equity, the name is not intuitive enough to run on its own and generate traffic. I see its result every month, a rare few bucks as such non-developed. So talking about development it does need, like for any other too generic name, an effective development to get its powder and awareness. I guess developing a .tv name is more challenging than developing a standard static .com page, why ? Just because everyone expect to get through this promissing tv extension, -if not a more dynamic or powerful content but-, at least something different than from the old .com. I do not have the time and energy to develop names as they would deserve, so why not market them directly to end-users ? For the same above reason, time and mainly because I believe that if an end-user is really looking for a name he will find you through your "name is for sale" page, .tv being the sole attractive and international alternative of the saturated .com market. Sorry maybe to bother some of you with my story, own naive conviction and rotten English, so to end now with Gun.tv please note that I will communicate directly with those who have kindly contacted me.
THANKS again
No bother Argos and always post here that is what this thread is for. Good luck selling that one so you can pick another premium reg that will do even better for you .
I definitely need to get indiafm.tv or keralafm.tv

About an hour ago, I got an offer to list Forensics.TV on Great Domains. While Great Domains is...well...great, I would much rather have the name in the AfterNIC Showcase (better traffic, better exposure, IMO.) So I applied for a Showcase listing and the name has been accepted (I can't have the name in the AfterNIC Showcase and Great Domains because the Showcase requires an exclusive listing agreement.)
So I'm quite happy with my .TV names these days. I now have the only two .TV names on the AfterNIC Showcase (Forensics.TV and Joy.tv) so all you .TV fans: wish me luck!
To all those who have names for sale pm me I will put them In the FIRST post of this thread and I will link to your SEDO or Afternic Listing. It be our own Namepros .tv showcase.
I want to thank Badger,Aunty,Johntv,Argos,Westblock,AMCY and everyone else for making this thread huge it is by far thee most informative and authoritative place on the net about all things .tv I have gotten emails for interviews and articles about .tv.
Equity, keep us posted on any news, interviews, articles, etcetera about .tv. I will also do that, but it looks like you're the man with the contacts
Thanks, John.
Good move from .tv. Just went through all the names, some names look familiar and have not changed in price. Some of them I really like:
bloopers.tv
dial.tv
funk.tv
joke.tv
late.tv
prom.tv
chic.tv
Personally I like dial.tv, it could be something big when TV and (mobile) phone meet.
You're right! Anyway, it is a good move to promote the names and (probably) get more sales, it is already working for me
Exciting times Equity! Great to hear there has been such a fantastic response to this thread - it certainly deserves it. This must now be one of the best industry resources for everything .TV.
Something a bit special is happening here and I think your great sale of LCD.TV was just the start of it....
I will pull together my list I send it over to you soon... What a great thread!
You are preaching to the choir here! I don't think it would be spam either, but I know that certain folks would.
I'll have to opt out of having live links myself. With certain domains in my list, I am not allowed to create new links to them as they are parked, so please add the names I sent as a simple text list. Thanks much!
2 of my .TV's will be on GreatDomains.com soon - they were accepted and are going through the process now... I don't think they'll see until there's a Nineties or Fifties TV channel starting, but it's bound to happen sometime!
SHOWCASES ADDED, if you would like a .tv SHOWCASE send a pm. If you have developed your names and they are not for sale pm and I will give you a developed showcase listing. Thank you
I tried to get my first three .tv domains, managed to register them, with RegistryFly.com, but about a week later i got a refund and a note saying the registry had cancelled and that it "may of been based on you not meeting the specific registries requirements "
Has anyone else had similar problems? Is the .tv domain registrar more "fussy" than the others?
