Now THATS what I like to read, especially this part:
"Uefa has allowed football clubs themselves to stream over the internet delayed Champions League matches"
That means that soccerclubs start already being internet broadcasters, who follows? Liverpool, the winner of the Champions League last year, is using liverpoolfc.tv, probably Liverpool couldn't afford buying the name liverpool.tv
Might be, but I'm afraid most of the good names are taken. I just noticed that one of the bigger clubs in Holland, PSV, had just bought psv.tv (29 June). I wanted to reg this one last year, but the 500/year was too much and for that money there were a lot of other good names still available. The thing is to predict what will be the next 'branches' that will start broadcasting on the internet within a few years from now.
Jeff mentioned somewhere at the appraisal forum that he thought something was going on at Verisign. Jeff, where are you? Have you found out something?
You could be right, my guess is that they are revising all prices as I just found puppy.tv for a normal price instead of a premium one. A few months ago I was thinking of buying it to go along with my dogs.tv, but found it too expensive. Now I just regged it for normal price. This is a good thing for the promotion of .tv. The more .tv names in the market, the better and the chance of more developed .tv names (like this one, which will be developped) gets higher.
Further to Badgers post, here is another interesting link: www.premiumtv.co.uk
If you go to the drop down it looks like these guys are the host of a lot of the premiership clubs official websites (not all but alot). The root paths being clubname.premiumtv.co.uk with everything pointed at it - including in most cases the .tv! (I was surprised how many clubs actaully have regged the .tv and smiled at the ones who hadn't ).
To expand on what John said above, liverpool are actually promoting everything around the .TV domain.
"... is divided up into 11 different channels... News, Match, Shop, Betting, Interactive, Mobile, Ticket, Team, History, The Club and e-Season Ticket– with the first ten being free for all to use."
"The only channel that costs to access is the e-Season Ticket as this is the place to find all our premium content offerings. Supporters who wish to watch highlights of our Premiership games, video interviews, the Manager’s press conferences, Reserve and Youth footage and listen to live match commentary amongst many other great benefits can subscribe to an e-Season Ticket"
I think the above goes further to reinforce Badgers initial post that all football clubs will very soon be streaming across the web - as seen, liverpool have made the first (major) steps in doing it.
There has been a reclassifying some names have gone up others down. Puppy was $100 they reclassified to $50 for their pricing. State domains have gone up some down like WEST VIRGINIA AND NEW HAMPSHIRE I pointed OUT IN CHAT AND SAM REGGED THEM. They follow the NP threads on .tv I did a big thread on state .tv it was changed a couple weeks later. Michigan went from $25,000 to $3,000 Claifornia from $15,000 to $20,000. You can always find things that don't match if you are a lady names LISA $500 a year Amy Lynn $29.99 Elequa purchased SEXY.tv Sexual is listed at a higher price though makes no sense SEXY far better name. I got Trojans.tv for Regular yet Trojan is $3000
Secondly Great POSTS BADGER and AUNTY STATIC thank you
Anyhow, I also meant to say earlier on, check out www.ChelseaFC.TV - looks like whoever owns this beat the club to it and is 'scoring' for some nice traffic on sedo.
I just regged psvtv.com One thing ELEQUA has always told me reg the .com to have the set, like when he regged travel.tv and mail.tv he regged traveltv.com and mailtv.com too. PSVTV.com Figured it worth the $7
so I must be happy for having very recently reg Pda.tv.... this will be for sure my last one ! I was on the way to drop Gun.tv.... now I keep it no matter what.
How do you think their recent significant increase$ will affect the .tv & reseller markets ?
It won't affect it too much in the reseller market because resellers are not trading lll.tv's, WHen they sell they are selling for $4,000 plus so it is an end user buying. GOOD reg on the PDA I have one I was looking at and If they will not honor $500 I will pass.
