Looks nice indeed, especially after reading the 'What is Microsoft TV' link. Would be a real boost if Microsoft will start using their .tv name for this project.
Ian, congrats on your helio.tv sale Is that the first .tv you have sold?
Yes, I have to say it is. My strategy on .tv's is really to hold through maturity. I don't contact end users like I do for .com's because I truly feel .tv's will be worth much more down the road. However, the buyer found me and coincedently I'm in the early stages of a big project(hush hush) and could use the extra $$$$ so I sold. JMHO but I think .tv investors should not be looking for quick/low sales on great .tv domains. If we all held out the values would increase. However, I realize this will never happen. -BTW-Thanks for the nice comments guys on my sale. Time to reg a few more.......
I agree with your comment about holding onto .TV names. I think that the .TV fire is only just starting to get hot and premium .TV names will be worth much more in 1-2 years than they are worth today. We need to give the medium to big players like MS time to develop their .TV names (and I'm sure that they'll develop Microsoft.TV, as they have already demonstrated that they are willing to dump huge sums of cash to support their quest to dominate everyone's living room.)
I personaly like Joy.TV a lot, so I registered the name all the way to 2014; adds value to the name and that's basically how long I'm willing to wait for the right buyer.
Nice. 80+ million hits in Yahoo...All major extensions taken...short...memorable...a universally accepted abbreviation for "graduate": solid investment, IMO, especially because of the non-premuim reg' price.
Submit it to the AfterNIC Showcase and see if they'll list it there for you. I think it's worthy of placement there.
Yup, still plenty of non-premium diamonds left in the .TV mine.
I just grabbed a fairly nice Tech domain .TV called Tech2.TV - now if only I can start a network or IPTV network, show up called Tech2, then I will be in business.
That is my second domain - my first was UnexplainedMysteries.tv - which I may try and sell.
Great Job on the sales Primavera,
Nice reg taheny on Grad.tv
SEIS.tv going for $2700 showing numbers and .tv go nicely
No More Spanish 1 through 10 and ONly One German.
I want to thank Argos and Westblock and AMCY and all the others who have given me Np$ for the thread I want you to know It went to a Katrina Ribbon so that is where your contribution went, I would not feel right regging a name or anything else so when ever the thread gets donations thats where it will go. Thank you again
I found this (along with several others) available a week ago ago. This one was actually relevant to television, unlike some of the irrelevant (but otherwise nice) words I found. I have been debating whether to register or not. A few minutes ago I decided to grab it and guess what? Too late. It was registered by "New Century Television, Inc." a few days ago.
AmCy, with all due respect, may I ask how "pain killers" relate to television? It's 4 a.m. here and I'm very tired, so maybe I'm missing something. Can you shed any light on this?
For that matter, I'm seeing a lot of words of phrases that seem very odd fits for this extension. I think .TV requires much more selectiveness than most regular extensions, and I recall this being said by others too. I'm supportive of the name space now, and I think a proper relevant name works very well with .TV, but I hate to see folks spending $30-$40 registration fees on words and phrases that have no obvious connection. After all, television is the 'thing' right? It's certainly not about Tuvalu.

thanks for posting your message. I have been in a similar position with a name that I have had my eye on for a few weeks, but like you, was unsure whether to reg it. Well just to be sure, I just grabbed it. I knew I would be gutted if I went to reg it in the future and it was taken.
The name ??
MusicShow.tv
Was it worth regging ?? You think this one might have any potential ??
May be useful as a part of a pharmaceutical company TV campaign. Other related .TV names are $500+, like pain.TV drugs.TV, headache.TV, migraine.TV, etc.
A lof of folks thought a domain I sold--InternetPoker.TV--was not worth anything because they thought "InternetPoker" was a mismatch with the .TV extension. Turned out to be my best sale ever.
AmCy
TalentShows.TV is available @ non-premium. U no like?
ok my latest reg is either gonna be a real turkey or a nice little baby for me.. I know its been around for a while but it is still being used after all..
DB you are right I have said many times you have to be the most selective with thi sextension. More so than .info or .biz even. TalentSHow.tv nice name same for MusicShows good reg Alex IMO. Some reg some names that don't necessarily go with the ext in the hope a large company will use for TV advertising this is certainly the higher side of speculation in the .tv ext. a lot of times big companies try to advertise with xxxx.com/tv or some other name I think they will learn that's a mistake, people will still get to their site if they just type to the .com but they will leave off the / or put in some thing else and not get there. IMO they should use The .tv ext Notice to Michael Dell Dell.com/laptops stinks, Dell.tv priceless, memorable IMO.
Actually, .tv is often used for media rich sister sites to .coms. They in no way have to be a tv program or have to do with television/Tuvalu to "work" with the ext. although the aforementioned certainly fit the bill nicely. Many people just don't seem to get this fact. More recently and trending, companies that want to display presentations/video/flash/generally a ton of media will use .tv as the preferred ext. so as to not cram or clutter the .com version. Take the example painkillers.tv. Is it so hard to imagine a compilation of streaming anti-drug commercial focused on painkillers coupled with chat/links to addiction specialists/support groups? Breaking the mind set that .tv can only be used for television models and programs or for the isle of Tuvalu(yea right) is on the way. JMHO of course.
.TV is the next Big top domain hit - 2nd to only the .Com (And perhaps, the .TV beats a .Com on many levels- with certain names - Like MTV.TV, TNT.TV, UnexplainedMysteries.TV)
