Talking Bad traffic, bad boy?

These are the actual letter interaction from OTTOYM software and Google, Inc.

Subject: Google AdSense Account Disabled

Hello Ronald,

It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated
on the ads on your web pages. We have therefore disabled your Google
AdSense account. Please understand that this step was taken in an
effort to protect the interest of the AdWords advertisers.

A publisher's site may not have invalid clicks on any ad(s), including
but not limited to clicks generated by a publisher on his own web
pages, clicks generated through the use of robots, automated clicking
tools, or any other deceptive software.

Practices such as these are in violation of the Google AdSense Terms
and Conditions and program polices, which can be viewed at:

https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms?hl=en_US
https://www.google.com/adsense/policies?hl=en_US

Sincerely,

The Google Team

Dear Sir or Madam,

We do not understand what the issue is described below. We also do not
appreciate being terminated with hardly any notice. We have done our part
to promote the use of our seasonal website for Halloween and your Google
Search bar to family and friends and co-workers and advertised the site on
many levels. We also have a variety of new users logged at our site. We
feel that whatever revenue and clicks were generated during the time
AdSense
has used our services have been fair and legitimate. Apparently this
website
has had some success in a short amount of time for getting traffic for
ourselves as well your company's advertisers. We do not see how we are in
violation of any of your Terms and Conditions. Some of our associates may
have used the search bar on their own a few times to look up things up
that
needed to be researched. I personally clicked on a Google Ad that
mentioned
a new kind of Pumpkin carving kit. I'd hardly call these few clicks
"abuse."

As far as our records go, your company still owes us in excess of $*****
for
the month of October and just over $**** for the month of November for us
signing up for the AdSense program. We expect full payment to be posted
to
our company as your present terms dictate.

I personally find it appalling that your company is now conveniently going
to "re-nig" on this agreement when a website has a little success. The
Pumpkihunt.com website where your Ads and Search Bar were placed had well
over 2000 unique visitors and close to 1 million hits during the month of
October alone. We even endured the expense of over $**** in advertising
our site with Google AdWords. The website has slowed now because we have gone
out of season.

After trying to contact your main offices in California and getting no
live
customer help, I'm now questioning any further relationship with your
company. I'd appreciate a phone call back so that we can clear up any
misunderstandings and more importantly move forward on a positive note.

Sincerely,

Ronald Davenport, Owner

Hello Ronald,

Thank you for your email regarding the status of your account.

Our goal is to give all of the AdSense web publishers the support they
need. At this time, we are best able to respond to our publishers' needs
by email.

By disabling your account, we feel that we have taken the necessary
measures to ensure that invalid clicks will not continue to occur on your
site.

We understand that you wish to receive specific information regarding the
invalid clicks we have observed. Due to the proprietary nature of our
monitoring system, we cannot disclose any specific details of these
clicks. We would like to reassure you, however, that we have thoroughly
re-reviewed your account data upon receipt of your response and have
reconfirmed that invalid clicks were generated on the ads on your site.
According to our policy on this matter, we have disabled your account in
order to protect our advertisers.

As outlined in our program Terms and Conditions, Google reserves the right
to terminate any publisher's participation at any time.

Sincerely,

The Google Team

Dear Google Team,

Thank you for the Political Statement and form letter response.

You did not answer my question regarding payment and specific reasons that
you felt it was justified to disable my account.

I need specific reasons here. My company's website did what it was
supposed
to do. I don't know how we got invalid clicks from my site. I need a more
direct answer in this matter.
Would you like to try again? I would prefer speaking to a live
individual
as opposed to an e-mail.

Sincerely,
Ron Davenport, Owner

Hello Ronald,

Thank you for your email. I apologize that you felt our earlier response
was a form letter. Please understand that all emails are personally read
and responded to by one of our specialists.

I understand that you would like to have more information about the
invalid clicks generated on the ads on your site. As mentioned previously,
due to the proprietary nature of our monitoring system, we cannot disclose
any specific details of these clicks. We would like to reassure you,
however, that we have thoroughly re-reviewed your account data again and
have reconfirmed that invalid clicks were generated on the ads on your
site. According to our policy on this matter, we have disabled your
account.

All payments to your account will be withheld and advertisers will be
properly credited. Please understand that this step was taken in order to
protect our advertisers and the Google AdSense program.

Sincerely,

The Google Team

He admitted to clicking his own links, and then was upset when they banned him for it?

He sounds like our PPC forum

I don't get it, you clicked your own ads, what do you want? I've clicked my own ads a couple of times by accident, forgetting im on one of my sites and seeing an ad that interests me, but I've never been credited for the click or punished....

Lucky? or is that policy to block your ip?

I have a question.

Is it only the HUGE "cheaters" who get nailed? What about a owner who clicks on 4-5 of his domains and pockets $50 a month? Is it all based on unusual clicks from YOUR home computer or area/repeat IP addresses?

I accidentally clicked on my ads more than once and nothing happened to me, but Id figure if you clicked on them a while bunch of times you would get in trouble.

Like I said, I've never gotten credit for a click of my own. It show's it's been clicked by no money recieved for it.

Is this how Google operates?

5 figures in October? Am I reading this right?
This acoount will be closed faster than you can say "clickbot".

It's my understanding that Google's logic is:

- If you have ever logged into your AdSense account from a particular IP, none of the clicks from this IP to your Google ads will ever be counted. Everyone can click their own ads now and then by accident. If it's within reason - there will be no punishment.

- Google monitors ALL IPs for suspicious click patterns. For example, you're running ads with the same Google ID on several websites (different channels) and Google detects clicks on different sites coming from the same IP. Big question mark!

- Clicks coming from proxies trigger instant warning signs. Some of them are legit, but again - within reason.

iampud is an unknown quantity at this point
My account was closed over 2 years ago when they stated I had done the same thing. Almost the same email except i had much less money earned from about 1500 uniques a day. They cancel my account and kept the $150 i had earned throughout the month.

I know i didn't click on my links. Hell like everyone else i clicked maybe once when i saw something truly interested me but not $150 dollars worth. If i could i would have repaid the 5 cents it cost the advertiser

I recently (couple of weeks ago ) tried to request a new account and have yet to get a response. So don't know if they still hate me for what ever i did wrong or they are just slow.

Hoping slow but guess i will wait for yahoo's program in the hope of a good program.

It's people like you that are destroying PPC networks. Someone paid for those impressions to get visitors that want to visit their site and use it

So true a accidental click is ok but if you click on purpose to make money... comeon now, i mean soon enough they will get feed up and just cancel the whole thing. I mean i get 1 click or even 0 a day but that doesnt make me go click on my own ads.

Lets keep it clean and let the vistors handle the clicking if they want.
